Photo-voice is an interview technique in which participants bring photographs in response to a series of prompts. The goal is to create a rich space for storytelling and the sharing of wisdom. We recorded it to honor and preserve their stories, an invaluable cultural legacy for future generations that might otherwise be lost.

This project is ideal for documenting the lives of our elders, but people of all ages can participate. Documenting milestones and special moments creates a powerful family legacy. Imagine having a recorded interview of your great-grandparents speaking about their lives when they were young. How valuable would that be? Despite modern society's tendency to devalue community relations, we believe that families play a crucial role in safeguarding intergenerational wisdom that is often overlooked.

A family oral tradition preservation project to honor, celebrate, and safeguard intergenerational wisdom. We conduct biographical interviews using a qualitative research technique called photo-voice to evoke deep personal reflection, recorded for future generations. A photoshoot with family members follows the interview to commemorate the moment. The participant families receive all photos and recordings.
